Tuska Homma Kennels

Catahoula Cur Dogs

Rescues Available

We currently have two Catahoulas being fostered at our home for placement.

They are:

Clotille - Female - red in color - amber eyes - she has been spayed.  Clotille is almost 2 years of age, her original owner allowed her free run of about 5 acres.  She is easy to keep in a kennel or fenced area.  The reason she was surrendered was that she was to agressive with original owner's horses.  She was mainly being agressive when the owner was handling the horses so I feel she was trying to protect.  She isn't very well socialized, but shows a lot or potential.  Has a very sweet personality that is willing to please.

Bruiser - Male - Black Lepard - Amber Eyes - about 3 years of age - large.  I purchased Bruiser to get him out of a bad situation.  He originally was allowed to free roam, but owner was having problems with him, get this, he just wanted to work and kept "bothering" the neighbors cattle.  So he ended up on dead end street.  I person that I purchased him from isn't known for the care he takes of dogs.  I knew he had potential given the right owner, therefore, I bought him, just to give him a chance.  He hasn't been well socialized and takes a little while to get used to you, when he does he is a sweet heart.  He did show some intimidation agression when we first got him, but since then, he had been fine.  He also interacts well with other dogs and stays in a kennels well.  He does come off of some good working bloodlines, including our own, (which is how I found out about him).  He is a grandson of our own Cadillac, and has that same beautiful square head.  LIke Cadillac, his is laid back.
